About us

FAR Objectives

The Futures & Analytics Research Hub is a resource for teaching, skill building, and knowledge exchange, with a primary focus on advancing digital literacy. Digital poverty is a major concern across the UK and requires more proactive efforts to reduce the gap. Data science and digital literacy are rapidly becoming necessary and invaluable practices in all sectors, particularly in supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals and advancing equality and diversity in STEM . By integrating data analytics into ENU’s Business School curriculum, learners will not only gain new skill sets, but as graduates, will have a strategic advantage in their future careers.

Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

Core to our work is helping to advance those from historically excluded groups, whether by gender, ethnicity, race, disability, age, neuro-divergence, and more. Our support extends to all roles, from learners, to staff, experts in their field, and broader community members. As well, we believe in being held accountable for our efforts, and welcome input at any time that could help us strengthen our outreach and support.

FAR Support

The Futures & Analytics Research Hub is generously supported through grants provided by the Data-Driven Innovation, part of the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal.
